The Asbestos Survey Guide

This is a heavily illustrated publication that replaces and expands on MDHS100, Asbestos surveying, sampling and assessment of asbestos-containing materials.
It is aimed at people carrying out asbestos surveys and people with specific responsibilities for managing asbestos in non-domestic premises under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006.
The book covers competence and quality assurance and surveys, including:
- Asbestos survey planning,
- carrying out surveys,
- the survey report
- the dutyholder’s use of the survey information.
It includes extensive appendices and references and it complements and supports other guidance on managing asbestos.

Where possible the HSE will provide a PDF version of documents. These documents can be viewed on your computer or printed on your own printer.
We have arranged a series of informal Asbestos focused question and answers sessions at Spectra Analysis’ offices in Basildon
These sessions are planned to be about one hour long and are free to attend.
The next session will be held at 9am on the 2nd July and then we will hold the rest on the first Friday of every month in August and September.
Light refreshments will be available, so come along and pick our teams brains in a relaxed environment. We are on hand to talk about becoming fully compliant with the new asbestos guidance HSG264 for Dutyholders.
