asbestos deathA FORMER administrator at a National Trust property near York died as a result of exposure to asbestos, an inquest heard.

Ann Beaufoy, 67, was joint administrator of Beningbrough Hall with her husband, Mike, in the mid-1980s, after moving to Yorkshire from their former home in Anglesey, North Wales.

Derek Peerless, 81, of Turkey Road, Bexhill, worked for the Army from the late 1940s onwards.

UKAS technical bulletin

asbestos dustThe long awaited technical bulletin from UKAS has finally been released.

The idea is that these technical bulletins are planned to have the same status as ALG memos do for the contractors; once it’s in their UKAS expect you to abide by it until such time as it goes into the updated guidance.

Since i like to make everyone’s life as simple as possible i have read, digested and noted the pertinent points – so here goes;
