Asbestos SurveysIn a television report on ITV Wales,  Information identified in a Western Mail freedom of information request has uncovered that over 90% of Welsh Schools contain dangerous asbestos containing materials.

The new guidance is specifically aimed at surveyors who carry out asbestos surveys and those who commission the surveys. (Client / Duty Holders).  

The client/duty holder has been given more guidance in the selection of the inspection body/surveyor and their own responsibilities under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 reinforced.

asbestos workersThe death of an antiques dealer has been blamed on asbestos, after he breathed in the material when he worked down a coal mine earlier in his life.

Michael Hallam, 72, of Hartshorne, died at his home earlier this year, and a coroner’s inquiry has recorded a death by industrial disease, reports the Burton Mail.
